Today I started measuring german cargo wagons and stumbled upon somthing interesting. Firstly, some variants of wagons that can be spawned in free roam are loaded, while most are empty. More specifically the wagons from the Maintalbahn are fully loaded, this affects the Habbiins, the Shimmns U and the Zacns. After that I was somewhat confused but I really wanted to find out the full loaded weights of the other wagons, so I started spawning whole formations. At the very first Loco (the 363) I found formations with many german wagons, but when I testet the formations with the Uacns-82 and the Shimmns TTU the weights of the loaded wagons were exactly that of the empty ones. Following that, I went through all the other german locos (except for the G6 which I don't have yet) and gathered data about the other wagons, the Kijls which I found loaded wagons for the 185 but apparently their weight when loaded is only one ton more than empty. Every other wagon has a much higher weight when loaded, there are only those three exceptions. When looking for a similar thread I found one where there was a question about being able to toggle the loading status of wagons in the formations designer, which might come out in the future. I hope that something like that will also be available for free roam in the future.
Correction, it is not the wagons from the Maintalbahn that are fully loaded but all of the cargo wagons from the Main-Spessart-Bahn. Another thing I found out is that the wagons when spawning a formation with a Vectron and loaded wagons, they appear to not be fully loaded as their weight is only 71,45t unlike the 90t when spawning the MSB Zacns or the 185.2 with Zacns
In tsw 80% is tara + load = maximum weight of the wagon. This means it simulates a fully loaded wagon. But actually there are some exceptions. The vtg eanos is not always full on the services. Also the sggmrss are not at their full capacity. Same for the laers car transporter, which take a car weight of about 1.5 ton and gives you a load of 18 tons. There are also wrongly set up wagons like the fal coal hopper. They show empty and are actually full. Means for example the emptiy coal train in bremen - oldenburg weights 4000 tons . Beside that the advanced brake system in tsw is my absolute favourite feature. Usuall im doing the entire break calculation my self for every freight train. In tsw you can simulate defective brakes and just shut down the wagon.
Also yes the shimms ttu have weird weights. Those are usually taken for transporting heavy steel coils. In TSW there is a loading weight of about 11 tons, which is 1-2 low weight steel coils. But those shimmns are made for 3 / 5 peaces of steel coils. (20 / 12 tons each) Its not wrong, but i wish the heavy version would be there too. (For 10 tons there is no need to go with a bogie wagon like them, a normal 2 axle wagon would do the job too)
