BR185.2: With PZB enabled, if you slow down to 30km/h, there is always a warning, spoke in German, sounds like "kur-frai-da-bun"

BR103.1: When slowing down to 30, a Beep sounds.

Are they just coincidence? What do they mean?

Another question: Auxiliary Control on BR103, any info on what does it do? It's seems the "Run up" will manually increase traction, "Trail" enables the tap changer, the others don't seem to do anything.

it says "Türfreigabe" and basically reminds the train driver to open the doors when stopping at a station. not really necessary on a freight loco though ;)

probably the same but older :D

That's the Door Control System Tb0. The driver must unlock this shortly before the train comes to a stop, as the pneumatic locking mechanism takes a few seconds to unlock. "Türfreigabe" reminds him to do so.

Lovely. Could you also let me know, when starting the BR185, there is an announcement like "stü-holm", "stü-holm". What does it mean?

it says "Störung" and translates to fault/disruption, but the funny thing is that in almost all cases it says that theres no fault at all, and yes it's realistic which is really funny

I believe it's part of the start up procedure, similar to how when you put a new battery into calculator, the display turns on showing all 8's, so you can check that all lights are working. Furthermore, in reality, you usually start the loco from cold start and it's not ready for operation after just turning battery on (no air in the reservoirs and so on), so you get "real" warnings about it right away too.

During test of functionality of the safety systems, you get all the fun announcements at once :)

A general startup test cycle, like when you first start your car and all the warning lights briefly come on.

Hehe yes. I watch a good few German Führerstandsmitfahrten (cab ride) videos, and sometimes hear Störung. Not just at the start but en route too. The drivers just seem to ignore them and carry on :)
