This route involves the RB11 & RB12 from Frankfurt(Main)Hbf via Frankfurt-Höchst to Königstein. It also has a branch line to Bad Soden. The line is 24,9 km (15,5 miles) long from Frankfurt Hbf to Königstein and 7,2 km (4,5 miles) from Frankfurt-Höchst to Bad Soden. It has the following stations: - Frankfurt(Main) - Frankfurt-Höchst -- Frankfurt-Sossenheim -- Sulzbach -- Bad Soden - Frankfurt-Unterliederbach - Liederbach Süd - Liederbach - Kelkheim-Münster - Kelkheim - Kelkheim-Hornau - Königstein-Schneidhain - Königstein The stations with a -- are from the RB11. The RB11 is currently under construction, but hopefully soon be in service again. The driving time is 38 minutes for the BR12 and 9 minutes for the BR11 The route is quite short, not all routes should be big. The route is served twice an hour; only on Sundays and feast days, the lines are served by one train per hour. One good reason for the route is the train. It used to be a BR 6090, but is now a BR 554. The BR 554 is a hydrogen train from the Alstom Coradia Lint family. It only drives elsewhere between Bremerhaven and Buxtehude (it could also be a suggestion, but the frequency is one train per hour). I saw that Clashomc123 already had placed a suggestion witch involves this route, but the long route to Limburg is not included for this suggestion. Please like the one you favour.
Nearly overlooked this one Although my argument from your other suggestion would stick here as well, I'd prefer this route over Frankfurt-Aschaffenburg. Simply because it's a neat little suburban route, which we haven't seen in a while (at least in German routes). Also, getting a hydrogen LINT (is that an HMU then?) would definitely be an interesting twist, plus it could serve as a template for other LINT variations in the future And since the route itself is pretty "compact", more time and effort could be put into giving Frankfurt Hbf and its surroundings all the love and care it would need to do it justice.
keep the German (and Austrian) content coming fixes my cravings until Vienna content finally arrives one day lol
