This is not a specific route, but a network of three suburban trams, that share the line with trains on some parts. This is the Kassel Regiotram.

The RT1 is 36 km (22,4 miles) long. The RT4 is 36,9 km (22,9 miles) long. The RT5 is 32,3 km (20 miles) long. The sum of the network is 92 km (57 miles) long. It has 46 stations.

From Kassel Hbf to Holländische Straße and Auestadion the route is a tram service. West from it, the line functions as a S-Bahn and shares the lines with the trains.

The RT1 & RT4 have the following stops:
    - Holländische Straße
    - Hegelsbergstraße
    - Wiener Straße
    - Hauptfriedhof
    - Haliplatz/P.S.-Haus
    - Holländischer Platz/Uni
    - Am Stern
    - Königsplatz
    - Friederichsplatz
    - Rathaus
    5 Auestadion
    5 H. Heine-Straße/Universität
    5 Am Weinberg
    - Rathaus/Fünffensterstraße
    - Wilhelmsstraße/Stadtmuseum
    - Schneidemannplatz
    - Kassel Hbf*
    5 Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe*
    5 Kassel-Oberzwehren*
    5 Baunatal-Rengershausen*
    5 Baunatal-Gunstershausen*
    5 Guxhagen*
    5 Körle
    5 Melsungen-Röhrenfurth
    5 Melsungen-Schwarzenberg
    5 Melsungen-Bartenwetzerbrücke
    5 Melsungen*
    - Kassel-Kirchditmold
    - Kassel-Harleshausen
    - Kassel-Jungfernkopf
    - Vellmar-Osterberg/EKZ
    - Vellmar-Obervellmar*
    1 Espenau-Mönchehof
    1 Immenhausen
    1 Grebenstein
    1 Hofgeismar*
    1 Hofgeismar-Hümmu
    4 Ahnatal-Casselbreite
    4 Ahnatal-Heckershausen
    4 Ahnatal-Weimar*
    4 Calden-Fürstenwald
    4 Zierenberg
    4 Zierenberg-Rosental
    4 Zierenberg-Oberelsungen
    4 Wolfhagen-Altenhasungen
    4 Wolfhagen

Stations with a number before are only served by the corresponding RT line. The stations with a * are also served by RE and RB trains.

The trains/trams are the BR452 and BR689 Alstom Citadis. The BR452 can drive on 750 volts DC and 15kV AC. The BR689 can drive on 750 V DC and diesel, so it can drive on the RT4.

The RT1 drives together with the RE11 (RheinRuhrExpress) between Kassel and Hofgeismar.
The RT4 drives together with the RB4 between Kassel and Wolshagen. The BR 612 could replace the GTW-D.
The RT5 drive together with the RE5 and RB5 between Kassel and Melsungen. These BR 427 from Cantus could be repaints of the SBB Flirts between Luzern and Sursee.

The combination between a tram and light-rail makes the route challenging.

This and the Badner bahn would be amazing. Maybe the one through Chemnitz hbf too. It's not tram sim but we have arosaline and berninaline so a tram/train line would be cool and something interesting to drive.

Badner Bahn would be sick, but - Vienna part would use tons of resources and require accurate assets... and part outside Vienna would have to have great scenery... route isnt too long, but would require tons of work :)
