For those who don't need a German route to drive 200 km/h (125mph) on, but with many services, this route could be an alternative to the Osnabrück - Münster - Recklinhausen idea. The route is 93 km (57,7 miles) long in total and connects to the Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr in Essen as Bochum. The train has the following stations: - Münster(Westf)Hbf/Gbf - Münster-Albachten - Bösensell - Nottuln-Appelhülsen - Buldern - Dülmen - Sythen - Haltern am See - Marl-Sinsen - Recklinghausen Hbf - Recklinghausen Süd * Bochum-Riemke * Bochum-Hamme * Bochum West * Bochum Hbf - Wanne-Eickel Hbf - Gelsenkirchen Hbf - Gelsenkirchen-Rotthausen - Essen-Kray Nord - Essen Hbf The stations with a * are for the branch line from Recklinhausen Hbf as Wanne-Eickel Hbf to Bochum Hbf It has the following services: - ICE/EC: From Hamburg - Münster(Westf)Hbf - Gelsenkirchen Hbf - Essen Hbf - Heading Duisburg and southern Germany (51 minutes) - ICE/EC/IC: From Hamburg - Münster(Westf)Hbf - Recklinghausen Hbf - Wanne-Eickel Hbf - Gelsenkirchen Hbf - Essen Hbf - Heading Duisburg and southern Germany (currently diverted) - IC: From Hamburg - Münster(Westf)Hbf - Recklinghausen Hbf - Wanne-Eickel Hbf - Gelsenkirchen Hbf - Heading Oberhausen and Köln (42 minutes) - Flixtrain: From Hamburg - Münster(Westf)Hbf - Gelsenkirchen Hbf - Essen Hbf - Heading Köln (55 minutes) - RE2: Münster(Westf)Hbf - Dülmen - Haltern am See - Recklinghausen Hbf - Wanne-Eickel Hbf - Gelsenkirchen Hbf - Essen Hbf - Heading Düsseldorf Hbf (56 minutes) - RE41: Haltern am See - Marl-Sinsen - Recklinghausen Hbf - Recklinghausen Süd - Bochum Hbf (32 minutes) - RE42: All stations between Münster(Westf)Hbf and Gelsenkirchen Hbf - Essen Hbf (- Heading Mönchengladbach (67 minutes) - RB46: All stations between Gelsenkirchen Hbf and Bochum Hbf (22 minutes) - S2: Wanne-Eickel Hbf - Gelsenkirchen Hbf - Gelsenkirchen-Rotthausen - Essen-Kray Nord - Essen Hbf (16 minutes) - Freight trains: From Hamburg - Münster Hbf/Gbf - Recklinghausen Hbf - Heading the Ruhr Area The long-distance trains drive mostly every 120 minutes; the regional trains every 60 minutes. The Flixtrain once per day per direction It requires the next trains: - BR401/BR412: ICE's - BR101: EC/IC's - BR193: Flixtrain - BR146: RE2 - BR187: IC's - BR1428/BR146: RE42 - BR3427: RE41 - BR422: S2 - BR425: RB46* - Diverse trains for freight services *The BR46 is currently served by the Vias BR426-1 (Flirt 2), but for this part and the required other trains, it wouldn't be worth it and the BR426-0 from DB was used a few years ago. The length of the platforms is short, so it will be exercising. The line has PZB and has a maximum speed of 160 km/h (99,4 mph). Most of the trains are already made; only the Stadler Flirt 3, IC2 and ICE4 need to be built. These trains can be expected soon because they are common on too many German routes. - The BR3427 Flirt 3XL can be used on the Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr and Rhein-Ruhr Ost - The BR187 IC2 can be used on the lines Dresden - Riesa, Hagen - Wuppertal, Bremen - Oldenburg and Hagen - Finnentrop. - The BR412 ICE4 can be used on the lines München - Augsburg, Mainz - Koblenz (present time), Duisburg - Bochum, Hagen - Wuppertal, Kassel - Würzburg and Frankfurt - Fulda. - Only the BR1428 Flirt 3 is quite unique as a service and only usable otherwise on the Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr. The body could be used for/from other Flirts for coming TSW routes. Perhaps the BR146+dosto can replace this train. If 3 complete new trains are too much for just one route, the two others can be sold as separate DLCs, which could be sold together in a bundle.
Amazing suggestion! This would be such a nice route, lot of trains can be included and itself its a really nice route!
Excellent idea overall speaking of the route hop markers you need two of them these are at Bochum & Essen Hauptbahnhof. Need a freight locomotive you need to add in DB Baureihe 151 it's going to need two variations buffers and chains warning triangle equipped version with C-Akv couplers Falnqqs Falrrs these will also operate the route.
