I just bought two of the Searchlight Simulations SD40-2 bundles, the Norfolk Southern and Union Pacific bundles. I installed them, then, loading up the game, I click on create a train, and in the loading screen, it gets to 37% and then crashes. I've verified integrity of game files more than three times, I've tried clearing cache, but nothing works. Anybody think of anything I didn't?
If this happens in the consist editor you may have a corrupted file. Doing a file verify may not find and replace the file if it is 3rd party. Eliminate the SD40-2 bundles by uninstalling and try building a consist. If it still crashes then you have other issues. One way to find the issue is to run Logmate. This will run a log during loading of the consist editor and when it crashes the last few entries will tell the folder with the problems. https://dovetailgames.freshdesk.com...80000895937-how-do-i-create-a-logmate-report-
Apologies if this sounds like the sucking eggs philosophy but hopefully you are using 64 bit as Searchlight locos will not work on 32 bit.
You have to manualy move out the Providers from your Assets-File and test it via try and error by loading the "create a train". How to: Move half of your providers and test it, then move 1/4 in an so on. I think the Kuju-Provider needs to be allways in as the game wont start without it.
Only Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\ is mandatory and must not be removed. The 50 / 50 method is the most efficient one to quickly find rogue assets folders.
