Hello, New to Train Simulator after getting hooked on TSW, but I am having problems getting to grips with it. The Career mode works fine but the Free Roam doesn't present me with any options to select a Loco or Route and the Normal mode doesn't let me choose anything other than RailFan mode. It's just the base game with no expanded routes as of yet. Do only add-ons show in these sections? I have done a fair few scenarios in Career mode and re-installed. Perhaps I'm missing something? Thanks! PS: Apologies if this is in the wrong place.
In free roam, you click the loco itself to drive it. Once clicked it may take you into the cab, or it may give you a "2" view... Just press 1 if that happens, and you're in the cab, and away you go.
Use quick drive instead, I don't think alot of the newer routes come with a free roam session. You could also create your own free roam session in the build menu too.
All the routes from DTG who make the game only come with Career Scenarios You should have Quick Drive where you pick a train and a route and just drive with a clear run Most routes don't come with Free Roam and you need to set them up yourself. For the people who have played the game for some time it's quite easy but for a new starter it's something to learn Have a watch of this to understand how it is done In a Free Roam you have to change the points to go where you want - Roaming Free of a Schedule Any questions just ask Peter
BTW.. The manuals are hard to find, but... C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Manuals
Perfect, thanks for the information everyone. I'll take a further look at the Quick Drive and see about creating a Scenario.
