So I am currently on then PS5 and I have come across a bug that if you are viewing a screen (in my case on the 101 expert) and then you open the map screen while still viewing the screen, the map become effectively locked open with no way to close it. The only way to close the map is to reset the game. Thankfully this has only happened at the start of a route when setting up the 101, but I can imagine it be quite detrimental while an hour into a play through. So the steps I did to replicate this Start a route in the BR101 expert (I used the fully digital one). Opened the left screen, and used the buttons on the screen to open the menu to enter the train number. I pressed the large button on the ps5 to open the timetable (but not held it long enough so it opened the map) and couldn’t close it. If you open the screen and then open the map without manipulating the buttons on the screen, the map will close normally when pressing circle. So it seems there is something that changes after pressing a couple of the buttons on the screen (or the screen going into a different page) that causes the issue.
Surprised this hasn’t come up in conversation more. This is the worst thing in the game at the moment for me, and makes free roam completely unplayable. Odd, as I don’t recall having this issue from TSW5 launch (Xbox Series X) but have only come across it more recently. As an aside, my workaround on the Xbox to get out of the map is to disconnect and reconnect the controller.
