Is it possible to earn gold medals doing the Gillingham Depot to Gillingham (and vice versa) services with either the 375 or 465?

Yes, I did with the 465 on one occasion by using the speed limiter and some tricks. You have to be very quick as it's pretty much impossible to get to the station on time, which is where most of the points get lost. So, it's losing as few points as possible here that seems to be the key

I haven't been able to get a gold with the 375 as it takes longer for the brakes to release and to stop, meaning I lost more points for being late.

To do it with the 465, I did this as quickly as I could:

    1) Press D-pad down twice to quickly engage the master key and put the reverser in forwards.
    2) Immediate full throttle.
    3) Switch on regen braking and set speed limiter to 15. Do this quickly during initial acceleration to stop you exceeding the speed limit.
    4) Switch to map view whilst moving. Adjust the points as soon as the rear of your train clears them.
    5) Full braking to stop, down on D pad twice to set the unit in reverse.
    6) Full throttle again immediately.
    7) Stop accurately under hard braking at Gillingham.

This is certainly unrealistic as to how you would genuinely do such a manoeuvre, but if you want a gold medal, this is the way to get it.

I haven't had any issues getting a gold in the moves from Gillingham to Gillingham Depot, as there are no time restrictions. Stopping accurately and not exceeding the speed limit is all that seems to be required here.

One of these days, gold medals will be achievable on depot runs out of the box - with realistic timings so you don’t have to go nuts.

Did one of these and even though I was late, it still had 10 minutes spare before the next service starts. All that rushing around felt unnecessary.
