    Introduction:
Introducing the Lanark line to tsw4, a route route with many different service opportunities for players to operate. From commuter services between Glasgow central low or high level to Lanark, to faster Edinburgh services, which can be taken as far as Carluke. This proposal is set in 2016, prior to the introduction of the class 385s, and when diesel units still ran on the Shotts line.

    The route:
The route runs for around 35 miles, and includes sections of the west coast mainline, argyle line, and a small AI only section of the Cathcart circle. Our route has several terminating points for player-ran services. Which include the massive terminus at Glasgow central, which now includes the low level. Lanark, and Carluke.

(The route map below is of the full argyle line, however I have highlighted in blue what would be included.)

    Potential DLC:

    Layers:

    Class 380 "desiro"
    Layers from: Cathcart circle remastered
The class 380 would operate services to Edinburgh via Carstairs. With some of these services continuing on to north berwick, or originating at Ayr. It may also substitute for Glasgow central high level to Lanark services on peak times, and would populate most Platforms at Glasgow central high level.

    Class 158 "express sprinter"
    Layers from EDN/Fife circle.
The class 158 would operate services to Edinburgh via Shotts, as at the time this route had yet to be electrified.
    Class-158-WIP-4.jpg

    Class 314
    Layers from: Cathcart circle
The class 314 would have occasional substitutes for the class 318/320s, as well as appearing at Glasgow central high level, and Newton on cathcart circle services.

    Class 66
Layers from: SeHs: MML gameplay packs, RHTT add-on.
The class 66 would operate freight services across the route.

    Railtours
    Including:
A class 20/Mk1 railtour from Crewe to Stranraer, with a pair of class 20s leading and a class 37 on the rear, Driveable between Carstairs and Glasgow central.
(Departs Carstairs at 09:06, runs in September.)

An 8F jubilee/Mk1 railtour from Fort William to London Euston, Driveable between Glasgow central low level and Carstairs.
(Departs Glasgow central at 12:57, runs in July.)

An intercity swallow class 47/mk2 railtour between Glasgow central and London euston, Driveable between Glasgow central and Carstairs.
(Departs Glasgow central at 17:00, runs in June.)

    Overall:
A route with a nice variety of stopping, and express services, and more layers for this route and cathcart circle. Players would have plenty to chose from when starting a service, and i personally could see it being very well received if it had as much love put into it as the Cathcart circle remaster.
