Here are some things I believe should be added to the Glossop Line to better it's immersion and overall gameplay. 1) More life added to Manchester Piccadilly. Currently the station looks very good visually and having the MML trains running through it is a great addition to give the station more life however I still feel the station is a bit dead. Adding environmental noises just like in other large stations in TSW, such as people talking, phones ringing, anything, would add a little bit more immersion. After all this is one of the busiest stations in England and it should feel like a stressful and bustling environment when you are arriving/departing. 2) Rework/Improve the timetable system when changing ends at Glossop. I find it quite weird how when you are changing ends you have to take the train from AI control which takes over as soon as you arrive and if you happen to be late it will just take off with your train. I personally don't understand why the trip between Glossop and Hadfield is a separate service from the rest of the journey, it should all just be one thing; perhaps this is for performance purposes, regardless the train should remain under your control all the way from A to B and AI should only be able to take control if you allow it to.
Yes I agree, and this is not just with Glossop, many times it was like getting grabbed by the scruff of the neck like animals do with their babies, and getting tossed out of the driver's seat.
Also flagged in the Glossop feedback thread(s). One possible workaround is to change ends before releasing the doors so at least you spawn back into what becomes the leading cab. But there needs to be some sort of routine coded in that allows you to stay with the same unit when chaining services, or in this case even more so when they have split trains with the same headcode.
We should also have an option to use the conductor/guard mode in the timetable. One 20 minute guard scenario is an amazing step for adding for realism and other playing options, although it just doesn't give enough content, specially for how many people have been wanting a guard mode for many updates
It was definitely something. I honestly think having AI guards as your driving the train would be a better option for increased immersion.
With the 150s we have in tsw3 would it be possible to add them onto the Glossop line but as ai, in a northern livery?
