Has anyone managed to achieve the second step on the first mastery tier for the Goblin Line (sorry, I refuse to call it by its woke name) i.e. reach 90mph. Whatever I try, I cannot get the 710 to go above 77mph. I even tried it on a downhill stretch on the fast line on GWE in free roam and the speedo refused to go above 77. Is reaching 90mph even possible?
I was able to get up to 80mph on the Goblin Line by starting at Gospel Oak and just going full throttle down the track. If you look at the mastery, at least for me the bar doesn’t seem to fill up for the “Reach 80 mph” goal, but I was able to go on to tier 2 and unlock the reward.
What a stupid task.... The max speed for the 710 is 75mph, no where on the line has a track limit that high. Having said that I did try running from Gospel Oak full throttle but could only reach 77mph also tried on the training centre track with the same result. Maybe I'll just write this one off.
I set out from somewhere near Gospel Oak and just ran full throttle on an ECS, managed to hit 80, but it felt so wrong.
If it helps, I got it by spawning at Barking Riverside on the left-hand platform, leaving full throttle and hit 80 just on the ramp down from the Riverside flyover, before I'd even reached Barking itself.
I haven’t found it yet either. I assume it’s somewhere in the wetlands, but I haven’t really taken the time to look.
it may not be the best of requirements but if it was as simple as run to normal speed I don’t think it would be worth having as a challenge.
You pass over them when you leave Blackhorse Road heading towards Gospel Oak. I mean I could be completely wrong about that being where the mastery reward is, but it just seems like it would make sense for it to be somewhere around there.
According to the in-game Mastery goals, it should near Walthastow Station, but there is only buildings there. But you right between the north end and the Blackhorse Station there is less buildings in that part
I think they added it as a proper challenge and something tough to do, I did complete it though by going free roam at Barking Riverside and go full throttle and went 81 down the ramp at ripple lane yard
It is between Blackhorse Road and South Totttenham. There is an open gate in the fence about halfway between Blackhorse Road and the 20mph bridge towards South Tottenham.
Sorry to take so long to get back but I‘ve been feeling a bit under the weather the last couple of days. Probably why I misread it as 90mph. Anyway, I tried that and it struggled up to 79mph and then there was an uphill stretch and it went back to 77 and wouldn’t go any higher after. HOWEVER, I had a eureka moment (or a slap your head moment) when I realised that it just said reach 80mph. It doesn’t mention using a class 710 so I stuck an HST at Gospel Oak on free mode and easily got it above 80mph and lo and behold, tier completed.
