Hello, does anyone know why my route and the google maps overlay are now moved? I built the route directly on the overlay and now I can't continue the route because the overlay is incorrectly placed. Does anyone know why or how to fix this?
Sometimes the maps are incorrectly streamed and you get a piece of map to a place where it doesn't belong to. Does the error persist when closing and restarting the Editor (or alternatively just disable the Google Maps overlay and turned back on)?
I would go with the same assumption as pwilson79 next and ask if you didn't accidentally selected and moved your tracks? Or maybe the coordinates for your route have been mistakally tweaked by the Editor? Weird. Let me ask one thing: How much work would it make for you to rebuild the tracks? Or maybe you can move them all at once to the correct place again.
The route was actually completely finished, but I'm expanding it now. I thought about building the extension according to the Google Maps overlay and then simply connecting the two parts somehow, even though they are not built 100% precisely.
Only the new part is not like the old part that I built. That means I built a small connection despite the shift. Not 100% like the real thing but it has to work.
I asked because if it's just the extension which is shifted, I maybe would think about the option to delete the tracks of the extension you did so far and just do the complete extension new. I mean this of course depends on the length of the extension, but if the extension is just for a few kilometers, I would invest a bit of extra time and redo it from scratch. That's probably what I would do in your situation. BTW: I'm glad to here that this is just the extension part and your project is not at risk because of this error.
I had this happen as well. I couldn't fix it, nobody else seemed to know how and I didn't want to start over, so that was that
