In a wider context quite a few UK routes have been made through popular demand- North Wales Coastal (and the extension to Holyhead) was a frequent request, so was WCML South with people wanting a route out of London Euston to Rugby/Birmingham.

I don't think it would be wise to just draw up any request from the forum and say "oh we'll make that" as it's likely dependent on multiple requests overtime. More likely the route will be popular if many different people have requested the same route for several years.

Although saying that some routes like Weardale and Teesdale Network were produced completely out of the blue and have proved very popular, despite not being a requested route (as far as I'm aware).
