Following an email newsletter received from Dovetail, I would point out that the link to
Gotthardbahn Alpine Classic does not show a discount of 35%. No reduction has been applied. Also in the sale there are 40% discounts applied to the Train Simulator UK, US and German editions. But the Swiss and Chinese have not this time been reduced! Strange they should not discount those too!!

Anyone else seen this latest email?

In light of the TSW2 announcement I fired up my pc yesterday and decided to give TSW a chance again. I had a good look at the M3 on LIRR (gorgeous reflections in the rain) - this ended in an Unreal engine crash after 15 minutes or so. I figured I might have been unlucky, so I decided to give it another go, so this time I tried the 377 on an early morning winter run from Brighton to Seaford. Again, beautiful graphics and gorgeous reflections aplenty. However, I found it very distracting that sunlight shines _through_ the 377s cab walls. This distraction didn't last long though as sadly TSW crashed on me again with another unreal engine error. At this point I began to remember why I had shelved TSW and returned to TS2020.

So, in the end I fired up the M2 on TS and carried on as normal - I'm sure the m2 from TS2020 and m3 from TSW are the same base model. It looks amazing in TSW - it deserves to look just as good in TS2020 too.

I'm not playing TSW because TS is the better platform, and it deserves further investment. It's foundations are strong - it just needs a little re-write and to borrow some cues from the unreal engine graphically and environmentally. Better that way than attempting to fit TS into unreal...

I sense a pivotal change coming to DTG.

Correction to my previous post, but the deal now appears for me. Perhaps they fixed it but didn't publicly mention it.

Yes it was fixed later, but there was no announcement. Glad I purchased it. If it is on Steam Sale later this week, I can recommend it.
