I would like to suggest adding the Grand Central Class 180 "Adelante" into the game. While it has a somewhat marred history by its penchant for catching fire, ultimately it is a somewhat iconic ECML workhorse and kind of looks cool. Introducing it to the game would of course require a "you'll be going no where" scenario. (Source https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:180_107_Kings_Cross(8077807274).jpg) The Loco Diesel-hydraulic multiple unit built by Alstom, introduced in 2001 Capable of speeds of up to 125 mph Applicable Routes The loco could layer onto: The existing DON -> PBO route (as AI) My recommended NCL -> YRK route (https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/newcastle-to-york-modern.91908/) (as AI, and drivable calling at Northallerton, Thirsk, and York. Additionally drivable on the Durham Coast Line if that was included) My recommended KGX -> PBO route (as AI): https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...ord-loop-and-northern-city-line-modern.92169/
Love the idea make the ecml even more busier, also i dont think they can do up to newcastle cuz i saw one ages ago where one of the devs or workers said he loved the idea and check but the creater of the thread never got a response
Could maybe come with different liveries too to make it suitable for other routes too. lol, and an interactive 3901 cupboard wouldn’t make it busier - believe those services are represented by 801s currently, but it would make it more varied Sorry - I might have not been very clear re the NCL to YRK bit. GC don’t operate at NCL. The units join the NCL -> YRK section around Northallerton. That said, they do sometimes do ECS in the vicinity in a STP capacity.
