The route from Grand Island to North Platte by road is about 150 miles. The track goes along the lincoln highway the whole way breaking off at Kearney for a bit. About half a mile from North Platte the track begans to expand into the massive Bailey yard. The yard containes 2 humps and departure and receiving yards for each side of the yard and a large locomotive shop. The track form Grand Island to Bailey yard is double or triple track the whole way. Rolling stock would be standard with what we currently have but SD70ace's and ES44 locomotives would be a nice addon. UP operates a few special trains so passenger stock would also be good. The hump yards working would be a nice touch too. 844 also operates on this route often but steam locos can wait.

Would love this route as I live at Kearney Ne and watch these trains a lot and with Bailey Yards in North Platte with the Biggest yards in the Country and very impressive indeed would be a fantastic route with the Union Pacific Freight and also passenger service too!

This is a Wonderful Idea. Considering Bailey Yard to be the largest of it's kind in the world, it could make for interesting operations.
