Today I would like to make a rather general suggestion rather than something specific. After contacting GBRTT (Transition Team), I have been informed of their intention to create a new livery. This may well take time to introduce and rollout but my suggestion is as follows... Would it be possible for DTG to open channels of communication with GBRTT to perhaps work alongside them as they develop their new livery to maybe be in a position to give us at least one new train in the new national identity at the time of livery launch. Personally, I can't wait to see what the new identity will look like and later hope to do versions of all my UK trains/locomotives on livery designer. It will be a little sad to see the separate identities fade into history, even if some are a little uninspired as progress keeps moving on. Looking forward to any responses.
I believe it's still due to operate from either 2023 or 2024.. and just like with BR and the grouping of 1923, it'll most likely take place from New Years Day
In my opinion it should happen the start of 2023 as it wouldn't start in 2024 as the private train companies currently operating the network might go bankrupt or start to fight over the region system they're bringing back. As there will be a issue with the current train companies wanting there rollingstock to survive nationalisation. Also take this from someone who has to deal with the pain of a privatised network.
