Running for 9 1/2 miles including the Mountsorrel Branch, the Great Central Railway (heritage) is the only double track heritage line in the UK, with the line doubled from Loughborough Central down to Rothley, with the Mountsorrel line and Rothley to Leicester North being single track. Proposed Rolling Stock BR Standard Class 2 Tank in BR Black livery 2 of these locos reside at the Great Central Railway, no's 78018 and 78019. Built between 1952 and 1956, 65 of this class were built and were the smallest type of the Standard classes. Most of the fleet only did 11 or 12 years of work with BR before being withdrawn, with the final example being axed in August 1967. Their tractive effort (18515 lbf) is similar to that of a Class 17 'Clayton' (18000 lbf) LMS 8F Class in BR Black livery (layered in from SoS) The Great Central has 2 of these locos based at their railway, with these being no's 48305 and 48624. These locos finished their working lived in very different places, with 48305 finishing up at Speke Junction in January 1968 whilst 48624 spent it's whole life allocated to Willesden shed, with withdrawal in July 1965. These locos would help supplement the 2MT's on passenger workings on the line. In terms of their tractive effort (32440 lbf) they are not too dissimilar to the Class 35 'Hymeks' (33950 lbf) Class 50 in NSE Original Livery Introduced to service on the WCML in 1968, the Class 50s finished their lives working trains out of Waterloo with NSE towards Salisbury, Yeovil & Exeter in the mid 1990s. This loco would provide diesel services on the timetable alongside a wealth of other locos which could be reskinned to match their representative on their railway or merely put in the timetable as a layer. Class 122 in BR Green livery This unit would provide a shuttle service from Rothley up the Mountsorrel Branch which may operate at up to an hourly basis depending on the timetable.

Great suggestion mate, the Great Cenatral is only an hour or hour and half away from me so I go there now and then.
Really excellent idea and 48305 can be reskinned to fit this route. Even better going to Nottingham with the connection to Midland main line and the Gap being filled in
top Gear Series 17 train episode These are the clips 2nd clip Has the TGV 12 stop due to a Class 08 shunter blocking him and NTP Class 45 smashing through the Audi Scum Class Carriage
Loco' at Severn Valley at the diesel Gala Even tho its a great suggestion I would probably be leaning more to have the Severn Valley Railway included as the next preserved Railway .Especially after the brilliant Diesel Gala they organised in May with 22 different Loco"s taking part . Steam woul be great as well
We could even have the whole preserved line from Leicester North to Ruddington. But I wouldn’t complain if we did get Loughborough to LN because that’s the best part of the route
We could have 92214 Cromwell Pullman 48305 because they already have the sound files in the game 70013 Oliver Cromwell Maybe
