Great Eastern Mainline - London To Ipswich/norwich With Branch To Southend Also

    Would ask for the great eastern mainline route to be added from Liverpool Street to Ipswich or Norwich with the line to Southend also included could as include branches going to Colchester town and Clacton-on-sea and The Branch from Witham to Braintree

    Liverpool Street to Ipswich is the best bet, probably with the Braintree and Felixstowe branches (as this would be the only way to have them).

    The branches to Southend (including Southminster) or Clacton/Walton (including Colchester Town) would probably be their own route. Norwich would be too far I think, although it is only an extra two stations away.

    In the 70’s with Class 305’s, 309’s and 31/37/47 hauled expresses would be great!

    Or in early 2000s with the shift over from 86s to 90s

    Personally I’d take either. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Stadler units when they were first introduced but they grew on me.

    I also really like the 90/MK3s + 360s

    I think this route would be a great example of how you could run multiple different timetables representing different time periods

    To be honest, I'd just be happy for the route to come no matter the era.

    But why have FLIRTs everywhere when you can have more interesting rolling stock?

    True. But it comes down to personal preference at the end of the day.

    There are people who probably find FLIRTs more interesting than the loco hauled stock such as the 90s / DVTs and similarly they could argue why should we have what you consider to be more interesting stock over what they consider to be interesting stock.

    It’s a difficult situation and unless DTG make every single route in every single era there will always be something for everyone, and there will always be something that will displease people

    I'd prefer having a Class 745 in game than a 90!

    While this may be an age thing, the Class 90s never felt like East Anglian trains in the same way that the 37s, 47s and even the 86s did before them (even though they and the 90s had relatively similar lifespans on the GEML). By the end the Mk3 were horrible to commute on and the 90s were so painfully slow at acceleration that I have little interest in experiencing them once again in Simulator form. The 90s are also one of the dullest-looking designs BR produced (I'm also not a fan of Class 60s for similar aesthetic reasons).

    I don't think 90s or 745s are options though, Greater Anglia haven't granted DTG a licence. So if the GEML is made, it's more likely to be a BR-era version.
