G-TraX is releasing a backdated version of the Stevens Pass route, set in the steam and electric era of the Great Northern. More information here - http://www.gtraxsims.com/Cdn_intro.htm
Thank you for the head up of this and just went over to check this. Very interesting with this route. Wondering if that will come with the new version of Train Simulator 2019. I know we have to purchase the routes with update version of Train Simulator 2019. John
Reading through the information, G-TraX said that, "The route will be payware, moderately priced and independently released through Railworks America." Their other payware route released through railworksamerica.com , the Riverside, Waterton and Atlantic, is a great addition to anyone's collection.
Knowing about some of the hoops that route creators have to jump through to have their work accepted by DTG leads me to understand completely why this creative team decided to publish this new package through RWA. The only disadvantage I can see is that scenarios written independently will not be eligible for Steam Workshop; on the other hand, G-Trax will be able to modify the route without going through DTG and new scenarios can easily be posted to RWA. In other hands, I'm completely in favor of this publication method and looking forward to this route's availability.
The route won't be out for at least a month or two, but you can whet your appetite with these two items - GN Steam Pack - http://railworksamerica.com/index.p...d=1420:gn-steam-pack&catid=18:engine-repaints GN Butte Subdivision - http://railworksamerica.com/index.p...hern-butte-division&catid=20:route-collection Both fine additions to anyone's collection. The steam pack does require the Britkits steam engines to run, though.
