    Hi there!
I recently just bought the Great Western Express line for my game and I’ve been trying to play the introduction and for some reason every time I reach the objective where it tells you to “press Y to return back to driver mode” it just won’t change to driver mode and won’t do anything, I’ve tried resetting the mission 3 times now and it still won’t work.
Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on what else I can do? Any help will be much appreciated thank you.

This is a bug which affects the introduction of many of the preserved routes in TSW2, and there's nothing you can do I'm afraid until it's fixed.

The “Press Y” pop-up is just information for when you are driving the train. It toggles between controlling the camera or controlling the train when in an external camera when you are the driver. It does not change the camera view.

To return to the internal camera you need to press and hold the right stick and use the menu that comes up, the same way you got into the external camera.

An update must've changed something because it wasn't like this before. Press Y doesn't proceed to the next step, nor does returning to internal view. You are stuck on 'Return back to Driver Mode' step.
Tested on MSB, PC, GWE and NTP introductions. Cannot advance. East Coastway does skip the step after a short time, so this one will complete. So wouldn't this now mean the route tutorial achievements are unobtainable? Basically anything that involves switching camera/driver modes as a seated passenger in classic controls (which are locked in on the tutorials) could be affected.

Hopefully TrainSim-Adam will look into this as new players will see these when they first open the route.

This issue is on PS4 too:
