I think that the Great Western Express route from 2016 along with its HST's is one of the best DLC's to come out for Train Sim World. A remaster with new lighting, and the modern sound system would be a fantastic addition to Train Sim World 4 or 5.
Seeing that DTG has given both WSR & Cathcart an overhaul, I don’t think it’ll be too long until GWE is given one too.. GWE is one of my favourite DLCs in TSW, so I would love to see a remaster & timetable update..
Mine too. I quite agree. This route is severely lacking at this point. Not to mention that it never had any dlc locomotives apart from the DLoGW pack which wasn't era relevant. I can think of at least 4 or 5 classes that would be ideal as dlc. Once again, I offer my personal local knowledge of the Eastern end of this route to dtg should they need it. Various landmarks are either missing or poorly represented at present. I too have a thread with items listed to update this route.
Isn't it just a modern MPD shed on GWE? Seeing how GWE was the second TSW DLC, it's gasping for a remaster and quite possibly a DLC or two
Sorry but this a request thats ask for so many times but DTG has already confirmed due to the age of this route its not possible to do. Otherwise they need to rebuild it from scratch....
iirc DTG we’re saying this in regards to modernising the route because there are many areas of the route which would need changing from the stations to the scenery which then would be better to build from scratch. This post is only talking about lighting and sounds which they should be able to do. Pretty sure they could even update some scenery to look more detailed/ up to current TSW standards.
The TSW 5 roadmap has information about the GWE remaster, but I couldn't find any details. There isn't even an official feedback thread on the forum at the moment.
