I can't believe the team still has not updated the great western express trainset up to standard.

When will they revamp the great western express train? The train is long overdue in terms of the controls, and the train camera, it's still not up to par with the other route and train.

Is it me or sincer the 4.26 update, the HST has some issues with the engine idle sound. It keeps changing the RPM sound like it's constantly changing from ETH on/off. Still old as it is, it's one of the best DLC for TSW.

Poll needs a maybe/eventually category. But yes GWE seems to be the lonely forgotten orphan child of TSW. The prototype UK route running from somewhere to nowhere in particular (sorry Reading residents), with tremendous scope for enhancement and improvement but seems not to be.

I dont think they will. The route is set before the electrification.

I’m not too bothered about electrification to Reading, in fact I would have preferred it was set before the wires went beyond Airport Junction. Leaving aside extensions to Oxford or the branch lines, at a minimum could do with a Paxman engined HST, a Class 165 to complement the 166 and for us retro fans a Class 117 DMU plus a Class 50 and Mark 2 aircon stock.

The preservation update is on the roadmap. So i expect following in addition to the route improvements:

    - class 66: replacement with eastcoast way cl.66

    - cl43 hst: feature upgrade with battery isolation switch / (apt unit). Possibility to uncouple the unit. Not sure the real unit has pis screens inside.

-cl166: pis implementation/ fixing the unit where no passengers can seat. / a.i acceleration fix (way too slow on l2b compared to gwe). It seems the 166 is creating a bottleneck in l2b with its broken a.i.

I thought people said that the gwe 166 was actually to fast so that could be why it's like that on l2b

Very little to no chance of that happening.
