In Train Sim World 2 I was on Reading platform at 21.15. Having checked the timetable I noticed that there was a fast class 166 service back to Paddington at 21.28. The service arrived at about 21.25 and I boarded the front cab. I pressed the E key to sit in the drivers seat to be confronted with a message which said “you do not have permission to drive this service”. What’s all that about then, will someone please enlighten me? I thought all services can be driven. I have driven the class 166 many times now, so why couldn’t I drive that one?

it's probably heading to service that would be outside the map hence why you couldn't control it

Sounds like you were too early - by about three minutes - and if the AI driver is still in the loading/unloading of passengers you have to wait; this generally occurs for services that have arrived from off the map

You can’t drive anything. If it’s going off the map, or in the middle of something, you can’t
