Greater Anglia Route Proposal

    Hi guys, Today I’m proposing a Route from London Liverpool Street to Chelmsford.
    This route is Operated by Greater Anglia, c2c, Elizabeth line, Overground and Stansted Express but for this specific line it’s only operated by Greater anglia and Elizabeth line. In total this line is 38 Miles with 16 stops along the line Which I’ll name out later Depending on the service you are taking which The express line is mainly what I’ll be talking takes about 31 minutes calling at Stratford then Chelmsford This line uses usual safety systems like AWS, TPWS, DSD and Vigilance and the max speed of this line is about 110mph

    Rolling stock: Greater Anglia
    I think for this route To Chelmsford The train that should be used on the London - Norwich line should be class 90 + 82 DVT with the class 90 having a max speed of 110mph [​IMG]

    And the class 82/DVT(driving van trailer)
    Has a max speed of 125mph if driving with mk3 carriages and 140mph if driving with mk4 carriages[​IMG]

    Next we have the class 321 which I thought would be a great addition for commuter services on Greater Anglia. The max speed of this train being 100mph and it usually coming in 4 car units[​IMG]

    Next operator we have TFL rail/Elizabeth line with the train being the class 315 as a personal pick(and it’s only right as we already have The 313 and 314) this train uses safety systems AWS, TPWS, comes in 4 car formations and has a maximum speed of 75mph[​IMG]

    Moving on now we have
    Stations: (starting from London of course)
    1. London Liverpool street (Eliz)(Great)
    2. Stratford (Eliz)(Great)
    3. Maryland (Eliz)
    4. Forest gate (Eliz)
    5. Manor park (Eliz)
    6. Ilford (Eliz)
    7. Seven kings (Eliz)(Great)
    8. Goodmayes (Eliz)
    9. Chadwell heath (Eliz)
    10. Romdord (Eliz)(Great)
    11. Gidea park (Eliz)
    12. Harold Wood (Eliz)
    13. Brentwood (Eliz)
    14. Shenfield (Eliz)(Great)
    15. Ingatestone (great)
    16. Chelmsford (Great)

    Lastly we have: Summary
    After reading this (I know I left out a lot of details) Would you consider buying this for £25, €30, $31 as it is 38 miles long, 3 trains and two operators. This line could also have London Overground and c2c but since they leave the mainline after one stop I left them out. But this is it from me I hope dovetail reads into this so this can become something as we need a good new modern route for the Uk. The end

    Class 360 could make a good loco add-on too

    Also plenty of freight opportunities

    86s and 66s would be the most common running to Felixstowe

    59s and 66s running Mendip Rail traffic into Chelmsford Recp.

    66s running various aggregates to and from Marks Tey

    Why only to Chelmsford? I know there's a lot of stations and traffic at the London end, but that's less than 30 miles...
    Push the boat out to Colchester (51¾ miles from Liverpool street) and without any more stock you get far more service flexibility

    completely forgot about the 360 and I regret picking the 321 over it

    I put it to Chelmsford because of Journey times. I don’t think dovetail would do a 1 hour long route for an express route other than that I would’ve loved to go to colchester and I was even planning on picking Colchester but I picked Chelmsford because it’s 31 minutes

    Not sure journey times would be the determining factor, more like length and asset requirements.
    An all stopper journey may take 90 mins where an express would take 20 over the same route of course

    Now we're going to have a falling out ;)

    I think Colchester is a decent end point, it's what I suggested for my 1989 GEML suggestion with the branch to Colchester Town, quite a few services terminate at Colchester so it has that 'complete' feeling which you wouldn't get only running to Chelmsford. It's still within the realms of DTG's route building at the moment too.

    Colchester depot is also south of the station so could be on the route.

    I would happily pick colchester as the end but it’s up to dovetail and for now we’ll have to play it on Ts2021

    do you prefer the class 321? or 360

    Yeah but I mean it’s all we have for now and for long distance routes
