What's so special about that route. How long is it? What trains run on it? Map? Timetable?

A bit late to the party but I would like to elaborate on the topic. The route OP is suggesting happens to be Line 1 of the greek metro. It is an overground line that streches from the greek port of Piraeus to Kyfissia, a suburb of Athens.[IMG]
The number rolling stock that operates on the line is 3. In the greek metro, rolling stock is named Gen (short of generation) for underground models and Batch (for the majority of line 1 models). The rolling stock for line 1 is the 1st Gen, the 8th Batch, the 10th Batch and the 11th Batch. The following are the line 1 rolling stock. On the left we have the 8th batch, middle is 10th, right is 11th and below is the 1st gen.

The greek metro does not have a public timetable however it is announced how often trains run (often every 5-15 minutes although specifics are based on the time of the year)
