Just thought about something. My favourite football team in Scotland is Greenock Morton. and I am wondering if there is a route in TSC that is passing Greenock. Not played much of the Scottish routes but I just thought about it
There is not no HOWEVER this is getting mate on ATS https://alanthomsonsim.com/downloads/ayrshire-and-inverclyde-lines/
A timetabled Scenario give you the same challenge of keeping to time without having to drive unrealistically.
I find this thread kind of funny. When people do wanna play career scenarios it is not so popular. It is the thing on the railway that you have a time table to follow so that is why there are career scenarios here to make it as realistic as it can be. So I only ask please respect other peoples choices. My starting thread was just that I asked about Greenock if there were any TSC routes which was passing this town.
But not all the Career Scenarios are Realistic. If you drive a train as you should and not like a F1 driver you cannot always keep time. Some people like Career Scenarios so they can show others "look what I have done"
In standard and quick drive you can drive like a maniac but in career you drive as in real life. It has nothing to do with "look what I have done" driving! Then what about pro routes/locos? I like career scenarios but I hate pro stuff in TSC. Pro stuff belong in TSW but not in TSC.
Quite possibly the most absurd thing I've heard in here for a long time. Why would the pro stuff belong in what is essentially a game designed to be console friendly as opposed to a far more complex simulator designed to run on a PC with far more ability to control multiple aspects of the simulated train?
Pro stuff belongs to people that want it. No matter if TSC or TSW (which has its own issues. Steam simulation is pure arcade on TSW.)
How you are driving, if you're speeding or not depends entirely on yourself. Gave me a good laugh too, so fair enough...
I do not think you have a clue how it is working on the railway! I've been working on the railway for more than 16 years so I know what I am talking about!
So then enjoy Career scenarios having timed checkpoints on freight services to earn a medal. Who cares for safety, it's the Fast and the Furious. If that's how it's working on the railway irl. Fair enough. Let everyone enjoy the sim as they like to. "Pro Stuff belongs to TSW" is kinda silly.
I have a friend who has worked on the railway for over 40 years but has no idea on how it operates as he just fixes trains on the depot. Just because you have been working for a railway company for 16 yeas is no indication of knowledge. As you like driving fast maybe you work for a Transit Company.
I have no clue where you got that from that I like to drive fast? I am following the rules on the railway and the rules which my company have!
Because you think you don't have to drive like an idiot to keep time on a Career Passenger Scenario. Maybe Freight Scenarios just mean you potter along.
it\s not that hard to be on time either mostly you are early or right on the money sure some routes are a bit ducked but mostly it works as it should
I think this has gone way off topic. A route passing Greenock was suggested, but dismissed by the OP for reasons only valid for him. So be it then. Case closed for me.
