Good idea once the class 323 sloppy guard panel implementation been fixed

This is actually helpful on LIRR/Metro-North routes because on the M3 & M7 EMUs the Guard uses the middle car as their position 3rd 6 carriages 4th 8 carriages 5th 10 carriages & lastly 6th carriages for a 12 carriages formation of M7 & m3s

I'd love them both as proper modes in the game. This has been suggested many times though and yet hasn't been implemented so I'm guessing it's alot of work for DTG and they ethier want to save it for a future TSW or not do it at all.

If they were to add this feature how would it work with loco hauled services and would they need to add directions. Due to some uk trains I've guarded and dispatched on SCR requiring you to do different things for different trains.

Even if it wasn’t playable I think being able to turn on guards to open the doors at stations, hit the buzzer etc. would be a really nice addition.

Especially given the training for the 323 states on normal operations doors are operated by the guard. If it was a toggle option, people who prefer opening and closing the doors themselves could still do that.

Yea, that sounds like a great idea. And it would mean players with gaurds turned on would have to use the signal busser before departing

  8. This would make the game more exciting, give the player more tasks and improve the player experience a lot. My child plays a lot of train games on roblox and they all have these things implemented. It's been suggested loads yet dtg don't seem interested.
Maybe we ain't worth the extra bit of work they will have to put into the game

This is an idea that I want to come to TSW at some point, the only ways you could guard at the moment is a) go on foot and go on the next train and "guard" that or b) go into the external camera and enter the train where the panel is and interact with it that way but yeah, the ability for the player to guard a train or even an AI guard needs to come to TSW in the future

I remember we wanted this in TSW2 and I bet it was wished for before. IMO things like this would really add to the immersion of the game as would a career mode but I tend to think these two options (which other Train games have done) is too much for DTG, meaning I think they would love to do it but they are incapable of doing it perhaps they will get lucky and a third party comes along to show them how to do it or they get better coders.

Something would be nice rather than going from A - B all the time.

Another benefit of a guard mode would mean doors closing automatically on departure time, meaning you don't have to peek at the HUD to know when to depart. It would also be especially beneficial to slam door trains (pressing a button to close the doors here doesn't look right!).

Do you mean the Class 101 Daisy DMU or the West German N-wagen from Bremen Oldenburg? That will help if Hastings Line 1986 with 4CEP 4 CIG 4VEP 4 EPB & 4REP arrives in the game because those are Slam Door electrics.

They should also allow access to the train mangers/gaurds office for gaurd mode :)

Maybe even the toilets lol. One of the jobs of a conductor on Scotrail trains is to restock the toilets and unlock them for people if they are out of order
