What I think would make a big upgrade to guard mode, would be the ability to close the doors by using the normal door controls that would be used when driving, so left and right on the d-pad/ y and u on keyboard. In reality, a guard would not step right back into the train and have to spend ages trying to hover over an exact spot, they’d just quickly press a button whilst stood on the platform. Being able to do this in game would make a big difference to the overall experience of guard mode, especially on bus stop services where the timetable is tight and you haven’t got time to be trying to aim the controller over a small area of the screen.
