Hello everyone, Just a misc one which has came up in my thoughts recently pertaining guard mode. If I was to press the buzzer twice for a right away with a driver on UK routes, would this mean the driver would depart even if the doors are open and not closed/ interlocked. I don't know if this has been addressed but similar to a spad would it result in service failure and having to restart etc. Similarly if you were to open wrong side doors etc for some reason, do you reckon points will be deducted if you get points for that? I imagine and have a theory the scoring system will be similar etc to when driving. Similarly if you were to open the doors when power is being applied if this is even possible etc.
All modern UK stock has interlocking which activates the brakes when the doors have been activated. This prevents the driver applying power until the doors are locked and sealed. In the guard/conductor mode this should hopefully be simulated. At a certain speed, the power to the door panels is locked out so they cannot be opened.
Yeah driving a 323 on Birmingham Cross City throttle box is red when any doors are open including the driver cab door. This is not on the 377 as I can still move with the driver cab door open.
