On Great Western Express, OHLE on the route is provided up to Hayes & Harlington. Another operater which ran services over this section of line but isn’t included is Heathrow Connect, now part of TfL Rail. This company had a fleet of 5 Class 360’s, numbered 360201-205. A timetable for these services is provided below, with Hayes & Harlington substituting for Heathrow. From what I can find on the web, these services stopped at all stations apart from Acton Main Line. Backstory of the Class 360/2 Originally built as part of a speculative order and numbered 350001-350004, during 2003 the British Airports Authority ordered these 4 units for use on the new Heathrow Connect services. The first of these units was delivered in Nov 2004, with services commencing in 2005. A fifth unit was ordered in 2005, but this didn’t enter use until autumn the next year. During 2007, an extra carriage was ordered for the units to increase capacity. The penultimate change to the fleet was when 360205 was put into a Heathrow Express livery during 2010, although it didn’t have branding for either of the two companies applied up until it became part of TfL Rail in 2018. With the 345s entering service in July 2020, the last Class 360/2 was withdrawn in September of that year. No other use has been found for these units yet. What would be included in this pack? 4 Class 360/2 5 car sets in Heathrow Connect livery along with 360205 in unbranded Heathrow Express livery. Over 50 new services including ECS moves from Old Oak Common to passenger services. Increase for passenger services at places like Hanwell, which has just 1 train stop in the current timetable, and West Ealing with a mere 18 stops a day. Whilst maybe not the DLC most people want for this route (IET), I still believe that the Class 360 would be a popular choice, with a 4 car variant being included purely for use in livery designer for the other subclasses, as these are 4 carriages long not 5. It would also get people interested in Great Western Express again, which along with the upcoming update could make it feel almost like a new route. This unit should probably be priced around £9.99 to £11.99 due to it only being able to operate on a short section of the route (just over 10 miles). I do hope people back this suggestion as GWE has needed some extra services as referenced in one of my recent threads and I believe this would be the perfect way to do so without a new timetable.
