Given that we are getting a rewrap of the 710 to simulate the Elizabeth Line, i feel like its only right that we get GWE Electrification, and an extension to Didcot Parkway. The reskin would allow us to simulate Elizabeth line services from Paddington to Reading, and GWE services to Didcot Parkway. We already have the Unbranded 387, all we would need is a reskin/unbranded of the 801 to simulate express class 800 services. Now I dont know how exactly the electrification project was carried out on the mainline, but in this case, the route could be set during a time when all fleets ran together ( Class 43, 166, 387, 800). If this is not possible, then i think it should be like the diesel legends of the great western, meaning that you can load the map in 2 different time periods, one with full electrification, and one with the current revamp. I just think its a smart idea, that would surely boost sales when the revamp is finally released.

I am not to familiar with the GWE Electrification project, so if anyone has any additional information or if i made a mistake please feel free to correct me in the comments.

I completely agree! I'd love to see a modern day GWE, but I believe they are sticking with before. I believe that the HSTs ran along side some of the class 80x for a short time while deleveries were happening. 165/6s still operate today ont he branch lines. It'd be fantastic to use the Elizabeth line, but alas, DTG like to keep some routes at a different time. And it absolutley would boost sales.

For all the appeal of having Crossrail there are certain issues that could mean it's too much work for one DLC.
*The Paddington to Reading section would have to be completely rebuilt.
*Implementing ATO with the option to manually over-ride it in the core might be difficult.
*With most routes from London you have one section of urban sprawl which affects performance, having a long, busy route that, aside from the core, is mostly urban sprawl beyond the three cores, would be an unbelievable amount of work and could be a performance nightmare.
*If they're building Stratford to Shenfield it would surely be an easier task to just give us the Great Eastern Main Line up to Ipswich. Many more operating options with passenger and freight services instead of driving all-stations trains for an hour and half in each direction.

oh definitley, i'd absolutely love for the GEML to be introduced. or any GA route. It would be great to have either:

GEML: Class 345 (or 710 Elizabeth), Class 720 AVENTRA and Class 755 FLIRT. It would be easy to add in the 720 because of the similarities between the 710. Just longer coaches and the livery.

STANSTED EXPRESS (and possible part of the Weaver line to Cheshunt): Class 720, Class 755. I'd really love to see a FLIRT in game, good express and stopping services on this route.

It's a bit of an open secret that DTG don't have the licence for Greater Anglia which is stopping us having any GA TSW content at the moment.

However, Greater Anglia won't exist by the end of 2025 as both East Anglian passenger franchises (GA and C2C) will be under Great British Railways control by the end of Autumn.

Edit: Likewise the SWR franchise, another route where DTG haven't been able to provide modern content. TSC routes have the old SWT branding so it's clearly been an issue there. The pressure is on for DTG to obtain a GBR licence as it seems from comments in here that most players want modern routes and traction.

Yeah, I would love to see a modern GWE, but if I remember right I think Matt said it is not straight forward, they would have to change the whole layout as it was based back in 2014 I think. We are getting a remaster with added routes, maybe see what arrives and then make suggestions. GWE has been a very good route for TSW, players are fond of it.

I wasn't aware that we're getting a remaster "with added routes". It's a total overhaul of the original route but with more playable track isn't it?
I think that GWE having such a large makeover suggests there are no plans from DTG to make a modern electrified version. As brilliant as Liam's work is, I don't think he'd have given up so much of his spare time if an all-new version of the route was on the horizon. There are plenty of pre-TSW4 routes that would really benefit from the Liam treatment.
