Hi all, Upon leaving Paddington in a HST, about a mile up the road I get to a red. Moments later a 166 appears on my line! I’ve restarted it numerous times, delayed the departure, etc, but I’m stuck. Any ideas?
While I do not know for sure, my best guess. That depends on how you started it. Instead of Journey (because it might be broken), try Service/Time Table or On Foot to complete it.
I am looking at the journey mode, but number 9 does not start at Paddington. I tried number 11 (1700 1C23 Paddington to Bristol) and found the same issue as described above, waiting before signal SN109. Doesn't work in service mode without Free Roam tools, but the AI is fast enough to beat the Networker to the signal (tested by spawning in at 16:55 and riding as a passenger), so it is possible that this service can be completed if you spawn in on foot.
Same on PC/Steam. I have a Gold on this scenario, so it must've been completable at some point. The only reason I came back is because there's Platinum medals available on GWE now for some reason, along with new scoring — but not on the Diesel Legends Journey, where it would've been actually helpful. Edit: the actual name of the service is 1C23 London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads. It is the last service of the 2nd chapter of the Great Western Express Journey. Edit 2: Spawning in on foot worked. After getting to the signal SN109 and waiting a minute, it turned green. The opposing Class 166 waited at a previous signal, instead of coming up to me. ..oh hey, there it is.
Fairly new to tsw, same service; Tried setting off early then late. Ended up doing a Star Trek 2 and removed the 166 and completed the service. Not the way I do things,but wanted to complete it. It's a strange one, after 130 hours in the SIM,it was a new one on me.
