With GWE about to receive the much needed remaster with a vastly enhanced timetable, perhaps it is the right time to do a locomotive dlc pack for even more variety on the route. My suggestion is for a twin pack with both the real Class 165/1 and Class 180 dmus. The Class 165/1 differs from the Class 166 as follows... No first class seating. Hopper windows as not A/C fitted. 2 and 3 car sets. It is fantastic that Liam has created a stand in using the 166 but the real thing would be nice. Livery should be a debranded GWR green with the FGW blue also available. Also included in this pack should be the highlight unit, the Class 180. These dmus are one of only a few classes rated for a 125mph operational speed limit and were a regular sight on the GWML around 2015. This would give a little variety to the fast lines instead of the great but predictable HST. In terms of liveries, we have a selection of 3 which would all need to be debranded and are as follows... Barbie livery. Dynamic Lines livery. GWR green livery, a special one off for Old Oak Common 111 open day in 2017 prior to closure. There are also a further pair of liveries for use as AI on ECML which should be made in parallel for extra uses of the Class 180s. See below...
Grand Central are another operator to use the Class 180s on services along the ECML and should be included as a part of this pack. Liveries are as follows... Grand Central with orange accent as standard. Grand Central with green accent. Not sure of the specific use for this variation. I hope others feel that this is a worthwhile suggestion. Thanks for reading.
From layer selector, I *think* I remember seeing Grand central services listed. Whether they are present as 801s, or just omitted and it's an empty layer for now and only has the timings, hopefully the 180 could be subbed in there. I'm not a great fan of the 180, it looks a little menacing to me and not in a good way, but more variety is always good in the game and I guess it could make good jumpscare AI
