Hi, Quick suggestion for a route I think would be brilliant for TSW. So my idea would be to create the Hallam line in TSW. This would include the line from Leeds to Sheffield via Wakefield Kirkgate, as well as the line from Whitwood junction to Castleford, then on to Pontefract and Knottingley. Depending on the size, the other local route from Knottingley back to Leeds via Wakefield Kirkgate and Westgate could be included. Potential services could be: Leeds to Sheffield via Castleford (around 1h15m) Leeds to Sheffield ‘Express’ (around 1hr) Leeds to Knottingley via Castleford (around 30m) Leeds to Knottingley via Wakefield (around 45m) Freight could also play a part, with the DB Cargo depot at Knottingley and Wakefield Europort present on the route, as well as the amount of freight traffic that runs through the area. Depending on the era, locos could be: -Northern Class 150/2 -Northern Class 158 -Class 66 -Northern Class 195 -Northern Class 323 (Layers in at Leeds and on the East Coast Mainline at Wakefield to represent services ran by 333’s and 331’s) -LNER Class 801 -East Midlands Trains HST -Flying Scotsman/Jubilee/Heritage Diesels on railtours Other notable features present in the route could be: -Holbeck depot -DB Cargo Knottingley Depot -Freightliner Midland Road depot -Wakefield Europort -Freight Traffic I am slightly biased as this is my local area, but I just think it would offer a great variety of services and operations!
