Hallo Mama! Hallo Pappa! What's The Meaning Of This On Maintalbahn?

So, I was playing Mantailbahn and I've noticed the PIS screen which says: "Hello Mama! Hello Papa! Guckt ich bin I'm fis!"

I can't speak German, so when translating the last part, it doesn't really make any sense - but I'm assuming it's humor?

It's just the PIS. This child has hacked it

Maybe an easteregg or just a joke but not a failure.

 

Hello Mom, Hello Dad, I'm on the FIS. FIS =Fahrgastinformationsystem (Passenger information System). It's a Joke that when People see a Camera, they jump in front of it and shout they're on TV.

 

Maybe a little joke from the devs, never seen that before.
FIS means Fahrgastinformationssystem.
So it says: Hello Mom! Hello Dad! Look, i´m in the Passenger Information System.

 

Like the old Morecambe and Wise joke where Eric (and following soon everyone in the scene) would start staring and smiling into the camera, apparently when film was first coming out, people would do that expecting something to happen.

 

It is a joke, every month has a different message. There is somewhere on this forum a list of all the messages.

 

Ha! on ECML, at Peterborough (I don't know if it happens at other stations) but sometimes Stevenage is spelt as Steeeevenage which must be a reference to Jay Foreman (unless the joke was already known before 2018) - (I can't seem to get the URL to work properly so the joke is from 6:16 in the video)
