Hi all, I was thinking of picking up Hamburg - Lübeck at the current sale, where it's 20% off (now €23,99). I wanted to know your thoughts on it. I can forgive the wrong Dostos, but not the PZB issues it had at launch, though I believe these are solved now. Please let me know whether you think the route is worth the discounted price, and why. Thanks in advance for your advice!
The PZB is working fine now. Also the sound of the MRCE 182 is way better than the sound of the Rapid Transit one. And there are many repaints of the new 182 available (if you're on PC). The route itself is actually nicely done. Hamburg and Lübeck main station both look impressive. The timetable is pretty well (if you have all the other layers). I think it's worth it, especially if you don't own the Rapid Transit 182.
After the patch I spent two weeks non-stop grinding this route If you own the DB BR101 you get two services for this route, too.
A very good passenger timetable with some nice PZB actions & realistic scenery. It is rare for me to make a Journey from A to Z without getting tired. There are few annoying moments - the same problems as always. I didn't get irritated, which happens to me sometimes. Look in this forum for threads about '112' - you can save unnecessary frustration or avoid disappointment. Besides - I highly recommend it! PS '101' services (2) are very good \o/ 112 is better than 143 182 MRCE is cooler than 182 in RED Livery
The 101 runs on HHL are excellent- and you get to drive the 101! I have enjoyed many runs on this route, both freight and passenger. It is a great route for driving without the HUD and the scenery is well done. Finally, the Mastery Challenge Ferris wheel looks great at night. HHL has snuck up on me as one of my favorites in the game.
I have now bought it and totally agree. It has a fun mix of adverse signals and speed limit changes forcing you to really put an effort into PZB. I like the 101 runs and the scenery a lot. I can't say it's my favourite route, but it is definetely up there in my favourites list.
