Hello. I compiled a couple sounds for the MNRR M3 and MNRR M7 that will come with the Harlem Line route. Much of the sounds are accurate, but need work on the actual sound coding itself. I apologize I am not very specific in the traction motor section, but the video should help out a ton! I hope this helps and good luck on the route! (TrainSim-Matt) MNRR M3: Horn: The current horn sound is innacurate and also plays very weirdly. The start sound is cut off a little bit, and the start sound plays when the horn ends, which sounds very weird. The interior horn can be edited and used. Horn Interior Sound: There are interior horn sounds in the LIRR M3 files which are unused. They should be used, as they are very accurate. They can be edited and used as an exterior horn as well. Door Sounds: The current doors sounds use the M7 door sounds, which is very inaccurate. There are opening and closing sounds taken from the Train Simulator M2/M4 in the google drive for you guys to use. Acknowledge Keybind: Currently, there is no acknowledge keybind, which should be the Q key. It currently controls the deadman switch, which is very annoying when you want to acknowledge the safety systems. Track Speed Indicator: Currently, the Track Speed Indicator on the Safety Systems are unused. This makes it very hard to play with the HUD off. Reused Master Key Sound: The current master key sounds are reused from the M7 even though there are M3 sounds in the files. They should be used, as it doesn't sound very good. Headlight Switch Sounds Mixed Up: The current headlight switch sounds are mixed up with M7 sounds and Fan Railer's sounds. The M7 sounds should be removed, as it isn't a very good mix. Master Controller Sounds: A lot of the throttle lever sounds are mixed up. The spring sounds play when the the throttle goes from power to coast. They should play when the spring is lifted or lowered. There is also no emergency notch sound. An emergency notch sound is in the download and is from Fan Railer, from the same exact source of the current Master Controller sounds. Door Trainline Switch Sounds: The door trainline switch sounds are off sync with the animation. MNRR M7: Traction Motors: The low tone and high tone transition is in the wrong spot. It should transition at around 10mph, not in the pitch shift. There is a traction motor sound that pitches up, much like the DB BR 442, and it stops pitching up at around 28mph and slowly pitches down until it reaches 32mph. Then the tone sound should play, just like it does in game, but the whole sound coding should be moved to 32mph, rather than 10mph. The braking curve is a little different. The tone stops at 40mph, and the high tone is a little more high pitch, as the traction motor is pitch up a little bit. Once it reaches 32mph, the high tone goes back to its original pitch, and the traction motor pitches down. (See Traction Motors.mp4 in Google Drive) Traction Motor Sounds: The low tone and high tone sounds are accurate, but the tone sound is not. It uses the Arrow III sounds Fan Railer sent for the Train Simulator Arrow III. There are two traction motor sounds in the download, the traction motor, and the tone. Both sounds are from Fan Railer and he has given permission for you guys to use the sounds. The sounds should also play from every single car. Currently, they don't play in every car because of some sort of sound glitch. Horn: The start sound is cut off a little bit in the game. It should play the full sound so you can hear the unique RS2M squeak. Horn Interior Sound: The current horn is lacking an interior sound, which is sounds much more different than the exterior. The Start, Loop, and End sounds are in the download. The sound is from Fan Railer and he has given permission for you guys to use the sound. Door Alarm: The current door alarm sound loops too fast. It currently loops every 0.55 seconds for each sound. They should loop every 0.90 seconds. (See S_M7AExtDoorChime.wav in Google Drive) Rolling Sounds: Before the LIRR M7 sounds were updated, you were able to hear the rolling sounds from far. After the update, you can't hear them from far, which sounds a little bad. The new sounds can be put back to the old sounds by finding the old files or using the M3 rolling sounds, as those were not updated, and were taken from the M7 rolling sounds. Throttle Brake Sensitivity: After the update, the throttle brake sensitivity was lowered, and it's a little too low. It should be raised back up to the original sensitivity, as trying to acknowledge overspeed is very hard, as you don't have much time with the slow sensitivity. Track Speed Indicator: Currently, the Track Speed Indicator on the Safety Systems are unused. This makes it very hard to play with the HUD off.
