I have the BR497 ICE3 Velaro D train and you cannot exceed 160km/h unless you switch PZB on - which I find difficult so I was wondering about removing the PZB from a route to test it.

    Anyone done that?

Do you mean LZB? Germany requires in cab signalling above 160km/h so I wonder if the 407 has a feature where it won't go above 160 unless a cab signalling system is active.

It does have that feature if AFB is enabled but I found out in another thread it will go faster than 160km/h with AFB and PZB off.
Therefore I don't need to remove the PZB for a route.
