Xbox Has The Latest Patch Come Out For Xbox Yet?

Because the last I heard when PS & PC had theirs, it said that Xbox was still cert testing and after that, I’ve seen nothing saying it’s out either.

I confirm that as of this date, there has still been no update.
The splash screen still show "Release V1.0.1" and the details of the file are "1.0.0.7" with "UpdateDate: N/A".
Checked on both Series S and X.

 

Yeah you say that but here we are, A WHOLE MONTH after the PS5 version got the first patch (1.0.2), now it's also getting the second patch (1.0.3) all while the xbox version is still stuck on the release build (1.0.1)

And it gets even worse, because i looked through the official 1.0.3 patch log on Discord i stumbled upon this here line, mentioning a console specific bug which until now was present on both consoles:
"Station Announcements are now enabled and function as intended on PlayStation 5"

Yes, the Xbox community is definitely looking forward to a fix, especially for the station announcements that are also not working on this console. But it might also be better to wait , as the first patch, 1.0.2, caused quite a few problems for PS5 players. Hopefully, 1.0.3 will contain fewer bugs.

 

1.0.3 came out last Monday on Xbox, didn't fix anything just broke some signals, still no announcements and other minor bugs introduced

 

I beg to differ.
CTD's have massively reduced and a couple of blatantly obvious AI vehicle pathing issues seem to have been addressed.
Also, aside from one or two instances where traffic lights sometimes take an eternity to change (causing you to be incredibly late), I haven't encountered any broken signals in career mode. I'm not suggesting there aren't any.......I'm just saying it as I've seen it.

I do agree though that, considering the overall condition of CTS, this patch is way too lightweight - and I still strongly suspect that planned DLC's are just going to be rushed out (alongside some very minor fixes) in order to fully cash in on the game before shutting it down completely.

 

I thought; lets give it a go again. Although the announcements still dont work on Xbox..
Created a nice route from Pulse Center to the Japanese Area. All went well and i had good hopes. On the return trip it crashed again. Closed the game and my Xbox series X. Still Unhappy.

 

I've played for around 2 hours (career mode) since the 1.0.3 update and during that time the game has shut down my console once and suffered two CTD's as well. So yeah, the game still crashes...but considerably less than it used to.

 

Less crashing is not good enough. It should not crash at all.

 

I completely agree - and in no way was I ever condoning the actions of either ViewApp for releasing a poor quality product or Dovetail Games for allowing that to happen. But the fact remains that CTS will never become a decent product and we're not going to get our money back, so you have to accept anything that makes a bad situation a little more bearable....if only to get a little more out of the game before it's eventually uninstalled and forgotten about.

 

Ok, so I'm going to have to retract the limited amount of enthusiasm I had for the 1.0.3 update because the several hours I've invested into CTS over the weekend have been nothing short of a nightmare experience.

Firstly, my save game completely vanished so I had to start career from scratch - which wasn't an entirely bad thing because my initial venture into the world of trams was scattered with 'noobie' errors and I was considering starting afresh anyway. But the fact remained that it did happen and the restart decision was forced upon me.

Next up, the overall quality of CTS. My initial playthru was basically an exercise in levelling up and that kind of meant I was just focusing on learning & mastering a small amount of simple routes in order to keep the old XP combo meter ticking over nicely, but the second time around I've taken on board everything I've learned and networked an awful lot more of the city.....which in turn is now revealing all these reported problems that weren't present in my initial 'minimal route bubble'.

Amongst other things:
Multiple signals that refuse to change.
Impossible to keep timetables.
Passengers released into traffic....and just walking thru vehicles like they weren't even there.
Receiving penalties from pedestrians that randomly walk into your tram.
AI vehicles driving into you.
....and more worryingly, the return of CTD's

Let's also not forget the inconsistent framerates, insane amounts of pop-ins and (albeit, infrequent) instances where the screen can fill up with flickering lo-res artifacts to the point where it actually looks like it's snowing! *note* the latter only occurs when rotating external cameras around your tram.

Look, I'm a tolerant person when it comes to bugs & glitches....but sorry, even I know that it's completely unacceptable when it reaches a point where you cannot find a workaround for those issues.

The worst thing of all though is that not only do I feel embarrassed for wrongly believing that CTS might actually have had potential, but I also can't escape the fact that ViewApp and Dovetail are just laughing in my face for being stupid enough to buy the game in the first place.

That's my final say on this whole sordid affair.....as far as I'm concerned my £18 investment is now written off and those involved can do whatever they like with CTS.

 

Sounds like it’s even worse than their previous Munich and Vienna efforts.

 

Just downloaded a patch for xbox, patch version 1.0.4 thought i would let you guys know.

 

Just tried this on the free trail for Xbox. I have to say I’m having a lot of fun with the game. Will I lose interest after a week of playing, probably.
I don’t know how buggy this game was in previous versions, but in v1.04 it’s running butter smooth and the announcements all work on schedule.
