Hey all… I’m having issues accessing and downloading PS5 versions (haven’t tried PS4) of both Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr and the BR101 add ons from the North American PSN store… I’ve tried full delete and reinstall of TSW3 and addons, rebuild database and clear software cache from safe mode, restore licenses from account/other, tried using both the PSN web page and iOS app to remote download… it always errors with: “Something went wrong CE-107880-4” error for each. I reinstalled TSW2 on PS5 and that appeared to work and download them fine. I removed these items from TSW3 (plus others) to get below the DLC limit to use some other routes, but now I cannot add these back. Are others having this issue? Is it a known issue currently and I ‘missed the memo’ maybe? Is this a support call to PSN or something DTG needs to coordinate and fix for all? I’m fearful it is may be isolated to me which while good for everyone else, could be hard to square away on my account. Thanks
So, I tried an install of TSW2 and both appeared available there to download. I only added those items so I will confirm they work on the TSW2 PS5 version in a bit… I suspect they will as they at least installed. I tried a PS4 install of TSW3 on the PS5 and they are not (error or not available for sale - but purchased) . So it seems related to the TSW3 storefront version of this route and br101 loco. I think I have this installed on my physical PS4 as well in TSW3… I will check to see at least if it was previously installed, it still works. However due to DLC limit I may not see it... Vicious circle it is LOL - stay tuned. And of course this just happened to be the route and loco I wanted to use, so now it’s become a “Journey” mini game to figure out why it’s not working over just playing the game!
So quick interesting update… 1) once the PS4 TSW3 installed fully on my PS5 (and I had pre-selected install all my DLC) this route and loco are in game and I can select them. Despite the store indicating there was something wrong/not available if trying to add manually. 2) PS4 physical console where I had them installed previously in TSW3 already, appear fine. so it seems restricted to PS5 versions and either using the store interfaces or manage content option that this does not work. I wish now I would have left them installed :-(
Helpful tip that seems to have worked for the route re-add **make sure a) you are dynamically backing up or have a recent backup of your game save/profile to the PSN cloud storage or elsewhere or b) don’t care about starting over if not… I had a cloud save for my TSW3 profile. 1) removed my local app/save data for PS5 TSW3 version from the ‘cog wheel’/settings - saved data and game/app settings from the main PS5 interface 2) loaded TSW3 (‘please wait’ box displayed for a bit on load) 3) used the in game store page and chose Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr, clicked download, and it installed! 4) Quit and Restart TSW3 5) I reinstated my save data progress from the cloud save. Still trying to get the br101 installed now without much success. Of note, I see Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr does not have a Mastery panel/tile in my game… not sure if that has always been missing or may be tied to the issue somehow? Maybe it just doesn’t have one yet.
… and after playing the introduction to Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr I found I was then able to use the in game store to finally add the DB BR 101…. Life is good again! Note you still must quit and restart TSW3 to make this new install appear, similar to the route. This certainly was a non-standard way of getting an erroring route and loco to install. I will not be removing these 2 again if I can help it! Hope this info may help others if all the ‘normal’ ways appear not to be working. Cheers!
