Ok then. I'm currently playing possibly the last few hours of my TSW 2020 edition before I get TSW 6. I play on XBox console. Now....the thing that has bugged me since getting the game. I'm running the GWE route -----timetable-----choose loco (class 43)-----service selection. Which brings up a tab. Left side is a list of destination routes and right side is description of route. The issue I have is the box that contains a map of the route. Should I be able to interact with this map box? I've tried every button on the controller but can't access it.
It is a while since I ran TSW2020, but I seem to recall that on the PlayStation consoles the interactive sliders on the menu map do not work. It is likely the same in an Xbox. I believe the selection page map was designed for use on a PC with a mouse and does not work with the controller joysticks. Also as far as I know on consoles there is little to no support for the use of a mouse in TSW. I have had some success with various functions using a keyboard but I don't think it would work with the map sliders. Hopefully someone else more knowledgeable may turn up and help you out further. Thanks for the reply and explanation. I think that you are right in saying that the mini map whatsit doesn't function on console editions. Anyway....onwards and upwards. I get to tangle with TSW 6 tomorrow.
I don't think it is meant to interact with. In the TSW editor you need to set start- and end- location of the service manually (typing text). If you do that correct it will show the route, but it is juts give you an impression of length and where you drive.
On tsw5+ Bottom left and right trigger should zoom in and out, can't remember if it's left or right stick to scroll the map but it's definitely doable on series x at least. I can never remember which icon relates to start or destination though!
