When I came across the free TSW5 training centre earlier this year, I became hooked and bought the full version. I've since invested in several DLC and have spent many hours enjoying its precision to detail that a true SIM should deliver. On reading the forums on future DLC, I find myself noticing similarities to when I first found MSFS way back in 2000. I bought as many addons as my PC could handle but eventually it just wasn't financially viable to buy a new one to keep up....so fast forward to today, using a PS5, am I going to miss out on future TSW developments. I don't begin to understand what is needed to make a SIM perform properly or how much of a demand is made on the equipment processing it, but somewhere along the line( excuse the pun) could there not be a trade off somewhere. I hope the train ride continues for a while longer before it becomes another MSFS...
PS5 should continue to be fully supported for a long time to come yet. SBahn is the first addon to run into problems on Gen 9 consoles but we're doing some work to try and improve that situation. 99.9% of routes are not as big or complex as the SBahn one though so even if we *didnt* make improvements, I don't see this being a start of a trend at all. Matt.
Firstly , thank you Matt for taking the time to reply to my post. Now that I have found something much more than just a "game" for what is mainly a gaming console without having the extra expense of having to buy a high end PC, I would hope that I am able to carry on enjoying this true Sim. My comments referring to MSFS, were made due to it changing from more about the technical side to its graphical appearance. I am not personally concerned about the landscape around but focus more on the engineering detail, although I have commented on little passenger traffic in another post. I look forward to upcoming developments.
