So there’s this annoying issue I’ve had with the BR 185.2 on Kassel-Würzburg, where if my train happens to stop before I reach the objective marker (which LZB/AFB usually ends up forcing me to do), I physically can’t get the train moving again. Every time I’ve encountered this, I usually end up uncoupling all of the freight cars and drive the light loco the rest of the way. I notice that on the brake gauges, the brake cylinder is at 2.8, which may be causing the problem for me (and it can be noted that when I run light loco, it always tries to stop itself whenever I attempt to coast, confirming that it’s the locomotive’s brake cylinder). So, help me somebody, how on earth can I fully release the 185.2’s brake cylinder?
Are you using AFB? I have noticed if you stop you have to turn thr AFB speed to 0, and then back to a set speed, or off completely, to get the train moving again, specifically the 185.2.
I did turn off AFB. The mysterious Sifa man even said the words "Ah Eff Bee" to confirm that it turned off.
There are some problems with the brakes in TSW. It is realistic that brakes on freight trains can be overcharged, which means that they will not release, as they get “stuck”. However, in TSW it happens way too easy and I would put it in the category “bug”. If this happens you actually have to vent the brakes by going outside and pull the handle on each waggon. It has helped me out of similar situations… Make sure to secure your train, though. Otherwise it will start rolling, when on an incline
