I seem to be having issues try to load some .ACE files found in the Developer Examples archive, including .ACE files I've converted using RWAceTool. The .ACE files can be loaded in TGATool2A which is a MSTS tool to open .ACE, .BMP and .TGA files. But when I try to open some .ACE files from the Developer Examples, including some .ACE files I've converted for TS Classic using the RWAceTool. The .ACE files display as shown in the screenshots File from the developer examples: File converted using the RWAceTool: As I've stated, it only happens to 'Some' .ACE files. A lot of other .ACE files found in the Developer Examples or .ACE files I've converted using the RWAceTool. Doesn't always show like this in TGATool2A. I do need to load up the developer examples textures, so I can use them in Blender as I've converted all the developer example models from the original 3dsMax source files for my personal use.
I do not recommend using TGATool2 to open TS ace files. You do know that Blender can import IGS and ACE files via the BRIAGE plugin? Just go to File->Import TS Shape (IGS) or SIMIS Ace v2. You can even import animations (IA) When importing an IGS the linked ACE files will be imported too. You can then save the imported textures as png (just go to the rendering tab) I don't think the images will be there next time you open the blend file if you don't save them.
Really appreciate your response! I never really thought about that! I normally use Blender 2.79b, it's just that I can't ever wrap my head around the new key inputs from version 2.80 and higher. I do however, have 2.93 installed with BRIAGE which I am able to do exactly what you have shown above 'THANKS HEAPS'
