Hello, I was looking around the old Vectron and i found an button called Hazard Lights and i was wonderring why its not an part of the game? Many people from the German community woud like this feature. Greeting Lugga
The Railpool Vectron doesn't have them functioning due to being like that irl, from what I've heard on the preview stream for TSW4. The Flixtrain Vectron doesn't have them because the button does not seem to exist. The DB Vectron doesn't have it because it's either also realistic, or the developers forgot to implement it, where at exactly this point it becomes a small problem for us.
None of the locomotives should have a Hazard Lights button where the Railpool one has it. That button is the fire extinguishing bottle. I honestly don't know if any Vectron has a button for Hazard Lights or if it is a screen state only, or if they even have it at all. If I recall correctly this is only a SBB thing. In any case the Flixtrain Vectron is not rated for traveling in Switzerland so it doesn't have the SBB light state.
I have several trains on tsw5, at least 4, with functioning hazard light switches/buttons. In the BR 193 though, when i hover cursor over "hazard" button, it defines what the button does, and is even clickable, making a sound and going back and forth from "Hazard lights - PRESSED" to "Hazard lights - ", but i cant seem to get them to work. Whenever a button/switch gives definition when hovered over (at least on ps4) that means its functional. I think the trick has something to do with the combination of settings between the on dash "headlight - " switch's 5 modes (Off, Signal lights dimmed, Signal lights, High beams dimmed and High beams) and the "Signal light override - " switch on the fuse panel behind the driver seats 4 modes (Headlights, Auto, Signal lights, Warning Signal lights). Each different combination of the 2 does produce a different light setup so i think if you try enough combinations you'll get it. Ill lyk if i do bc im weird and like driving with hazard lights on in the game whenever possible as you might have noticed lol. Every train ive come across so far that has a hazard switch ive figured out how to get it working.
* and no, selecting "Signal lights override - Warning Signal lights" does not operate like flashers, which i thought it would.
I wonder what use cases the hazard lights are even for. better visibility when shunting or passing dangerous area's?
