It seems very odd that while the vast majority of games (gen 9) offer fidelity or performance modes. Why did DTG decide on 1080p and 4k? I can understand 1080p if you were to support uncapped framerate with VRR but no 1440p targeting 60fps seems an odd omission
Xbox you should be able to set to the settings you want but with Playstation they have only just starting to supporting 2K so might not be supported as of yet.
I see why the 1080p mode was included on Series X now, I just tried loading up Cajon Pass in 4k mode in a lightning storm and OUCH, that was the jerkiest, judderiest, most stuttering mess I have ever seen TSW be. It felt like approaching Victoria on London commuter on TSW2 on Series S. 1080p mode made it playable again. So I guess we know now the performance overhead cost of the new weather.
