While futher testing out free roam i came across a br 166 with a Frist Great Western livery.But it's only one unit with driving cab end only.While the regular GWE has 3 units.So where this thing come from or with?
Could have been a test train or livery option but never got fully used but was just left in and has only seen the light of day because of the free roam train option.
It is a left over file and incomplete model from the original game that should have been removed but wasn't. Matt has stated that it will be removed soon due to not having the FGW licence.
So this thing started in TSW But wasn't used or removed. So this thing was still in TSW2020(Upgrade) But was left alone again. So this thing was still lingering in TSW2 still left untouched. So this thing was still in TSW3 and brushed aside again. So this thing finally sees the light of day in TSW4. What's the point of removing it now if the owner wasn't bothered up to this point. When liveries can be made and shared among all players(including ones DTG don't have licenses for yet). Why remove it at all.It's just another livery like all the other unofficial ones at this point.(Player Made) Beside it being just a long unit makes it more usefull since you can't normally uncouple this type of train in game(Meaning between walk thru passages on these double units).But you can put 2 back to back and make your own two unit train. Besides TSW4 needs other issues delt with frist so unlike the tenderless Jubilee which is another in game oddity,just let a interesting extra train continue to linger on for the time being.
being overlooked, and subsequently removed is somewhat preferable over being left in situ and waiting on the license holder to come knocking, if DTG does not have the license. DTG does not place liveries in the Creators Club, they have also been known to remove content before after copyright takedown requests.
Well if it must go just strike the livery but leave the br 166 end unit for useing and custom liveries it still has value either way. Note:By adding this br166(FGW) unit to the game so it can be used now,could this be a hint of a future route or add on for this livery?DTG got a habit of leaving or putting things in the game long before they get announced.(Like during previews) This livery been buried upto now so now that it's been released could this be a sign of something to come. Could any FGW trains be on any of the future unofficially announced upcoming UK routes?
