Noticed when setting headcodes on my trains that the second blind has to scroll through 0-9 first before getting to the letters.

Why would it have been designed that way if the second character was always a letter?

All I can think of is only only type of blind needed to be made, instead of 75% number first and 25% letter first?

    Inver...

I'm pretty certain that would be the case... Only 1 blind [style] would have to be made up and would be interchangeable with any "track" in the event of it having to be replaced (which on the buses I have driven in the past some had to be changed more often than others...)...

Again somebody complains about DTG making something they way it was because they don't like it.

The second roll on the blind did have numbers and letters but the difference it was not would back to blank when finished
It made more sense to leave it showing 1A25 or whatever and then it was a short turn to the next service like 1H57

Quite often the blind on the cab next to the train would be left showing what it did last

No, Peter, I was just enquiring as to why. There’s a difference :)
